Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Nalenorix at nalenorix.com. By accessing the site, you agree to them. Nalenorix is an editorial guide to web design courses in Canada and is not an educational institution.

What these terms cover

The sections below explain how you may use the site, what our editorial content does and does not promise, who is responsible for enrolment and payment, and how to reach us with a question about any of it. The wording is written to be read, not decoded.

If a section does not apply to you, skip it. Nothing here creates a student relationship, a contract of admission, or an offer of a place in any program.

Plain-language commitment

If any part of these terms is unclear, write to us and we will explain it in plain words.

Permitted use

Use of the site

You may read, reference, and link to the content on this site for personal and informational purposes. That includes quoting a short passage in a class assignment, a forum post, or a note to a colleague, as long as you credit Nalenorix and link back to the page you used.

You may not scrape, republish, or resell substantial portions of the content without permission. That covers bulk copying of program descriptions or comparison tables into another site, feeding the pages into a commercial dataset, or repackaging our editorial text as your own course directory.

Automated access that places unreasonable load on the site is not permitted. Ordinary search-engine indexing and personal feed readers are fine; sustained high-volume requests that slow the site for other visitors are not, and we may block them.

If you want to use our material in a way these terms do not cover, ask first. Requests are usually answered within a few working days, and we will tell you plainly whether the use is allowed.

What we can and cannot promise

Editorial content and accuracy

Content on this site describes publicly available information about programs and skills. Program details such as credit counts, intake dates, and course lists can change. Institutions revise calendars, retire courses, and shift start dates, and those changes often reach their own pages before they reach ours.

We verify what we can and correct errors when reported, but we do not warrant that all information is current or complete at the moment you read it. Where a detail matters to your decision, treat the institution's own published page and its admissions office as the source of record.

Found something wrong, out of date, or missing context? Send a note through the contact page with the page address and the detail in question. Corrections that we can confirm are usually applied within a few working days, and we will tell you what we changed.

Where the line sits

No professional advice

The content is general information, not admissions, academic, career, or financial advice. It is written to help you compare formats, skill depth, and portfolio value before you start asking institutions your own questions.

Decisions about enrolling in a program are yours. Confirm details directly with the institution before you make a commitment, especially anything that affects tuition, transfer credit, study permits, or the timing of an intake.

Check these with the institution

  • Current tuition, fees, and any material costs for the intake you are considering.
  • Admission requirements, prerequisites, and whether a portfolio is expected.
  • Delivery format, weekly time commitment, and where any in-person sessions are held.
  • What you finish with, and how the institution describes its own completion documents.

Who you are dealing with

No enrolment or payment

Nalenorix does not enrol students, process applications, or collect tuition. Any transaction relating to a course takes place with the institution or provider, under their terms. We are not a party to those transactions.

If a payment page, an intake form, or a receipt asks you for money and it is not on the institution's own domain, stop and check with the institution directly before you continue. We do not accept deposits, hold seats, or take fees on anyone's behalf.

Because we are not part of that relationship, refunds, withdrawals, transfers, and scheduling questions go to the provider you registered with. Their terms, not these, govern the transaction.

Intellectual property

Site text, structure, and original materials are owned by Nalenorix unless otherwise noted. That includes the way pages are organised, the comparison framing, and the explanatory writing you are reading now.

Institution names, program titles, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and comparison. Seeing a program named here says nothing about a partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement in either direction.

Third-party links

The site links to external pages, including institutional program pages. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party sites. Review their terms and policies before relying on them.

Links are checked when pages are written and reviewed again on a regular cycle. If a link no longer leads where it should, tell us and we will repair or remove it.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided on an as-is basis. To the extent permitted by law, Nalenorix is not liable for losses arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

In practice, that means we are responsible for keeping the site accurate and available as far as we reasonably can, and you are responsible for confirming program details with the institution before you act on them. If something on the site misleads you, tell us. We would rather correct a page than leave a wrong detail standing.

Questions people ask about these terms

Short answers to the points that come up most often. If yours is not here, the contact page is the fastest route to a reply.

Does Nalenorix award certificates or credits?

No. Nalenorix is an editorial guide, not a school. Any certificate, diploma, or credit you earn comes from the institution you enrol with, under their rules and their records. We write about programs; we do not deliver them.

Can I copy a comparison table into my own blog?

Not in full. You are welcome to quote a short passage or reference a finding with a credit and a link. Republishing whole tables or long sections is not allowed without permission, so ask first if you need more than a brief excerpt.

I found a program detail that looks out of date. What happens next?

Send the page address and the detail you think has changed. If we can confirm it against the institution's own published information, we update the page and note the correction. Details we cannot confirm stay unchanged with a short explanation.

Is my reading activity tracked while I browse the site?

How the site handles data is set out in the privacy policy and the cookie policy, which sit alongside these terms. Read those two documents for the detail on what is stored and how you can control it.

What happens if these terms change after I have read them?

The current version always lives on this page, so a bookmark here is enough to check what applies. Continued use of the site after a revision means you accept the revised wording.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when needed. The current version is always available on this page. Continued use of the site after changes indicates acceptance of the revised terms.

In practice, updates come from two directions: how the site works, and how course information reaches us. A change to the way pages are organised, a new format for comparison, or a legal requirement can all lead to an edit. We keep the wording plain and avoid renaming sections just to look fresh.
